Waves
Watching the water and waves
Feeling the pulse trying to beat
Time and memory fades
Long lost laurels and feats
Had I known then
What I know now
What would it be
Had I known then
What I know now
What would I be
Me
Seeing the white of a crest
All the way out at sea
Not really holding my breath
Nothing left to be
Fish start jumping like friends
Friends that I used to see
That we were younger then
Now older like rings on thick trees
Can smell them fly through the air
Even whales come to see
Calmness of the event
Cause we just let it be.
